Dear beloved,
to most of us the best day in the month of May is "1st May" because we celebrate Labour Day. Let us not just take it as another day of holiday. May I suggest we ponder upon what our LORD Jesus taught His disciples when they strive about who who would be the greatest in Matthew 20:25-28.
Matthew 20:25 - But Jesus called them and said, "You know the rulers of the nations exercise dominion over them, and they who are great exercise authority over them.
Matthew 20:26 - However, it shall not be so among you. But whoever desires to be great among you, let him be your servant.
Matthew 20:27 - And whoever desires to be chief among you, let him be your servant;
Matthew 20:28 - even as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give Him life a ransom for many."
This passage, we learn that serving is not LABOURING, but upgrading us to GREATNESS. Moreover, serving will not be burdensome if we know that we are here to serve and not to be served. Therefore, beloved, be joyful in serving the LORD.
Dear LORD, help us to have a servanthood heart. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
