Dear
beloved,
Just
recently, God’s people in the front line have experienced tough challenges and
unfortunate incidents and encounters, like a brand new car being stolen and
house broken into. I have just visited a brother in the hospital who told
me that everything had been so good until suddenly, he needed to be
hospitalized due to medical problems and doctors have yet to diagnose what is
wrong with him.
Does
not the scripture say in Pro 10:22 “The blessing
of the LORD makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it?” We should be
enjoying our Jubilee blessing, shouldn’t we? I used to encourage
people, telling them, “When things get tough, the tough get going.” Now as
I am older, I would rather not charge ahead where there is no return. But
rather go back to the Word of God.
When
Jacob was in great trouble, God told him to return to Bethel (House of
bread) where he first had an encounter with God. God not only protected
him but also blessed him richly. Jacob rediscovered who he was in the
Lord when God said that his name should be Israel and not Jacob. God saw in him a
nation set apart for His purpose. We may feel like an earthly worm,
kicking and struggling but in the eyes of God we are what the Word says in Eph
2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus for good works, which God has
prepared beforehand and that we should walk in them. Hallelujah!
Father,
we thank You for Your promises are always “Yes” and “Amen” in Christ Jesus.

亲爱的，
最近，神在前线的子民经历了许多不愉快的事件，例如一辆崭新的汽车被偷、家中入贼等。不久前我刚探访了一位入院的弟兄，他对我说一切事情本来是很顺利的，突然间却被迫入院检查，医生却诊断不出问题的原因。
箴言10：22说；“耶和华所赐的福，使人富足，并不加上忧虑。”我们应当享有禧年带来的祝福，不是吗？我常这样鼓励人：“当事情变得难以应付，我们更要顽强不屈地去面对。”现在，当我更年长了，我不会在不归路上横冲直闯，我会回到神的话语上。
当雅各处在困境中，神要他回到百特利；那是他和神首次相遇的地方。神不单保守他也大大地祝福他。当神说他的名字是以色列而不再是雅各时，他重新找到他在主里的自己。神在他里面看见了一个大国是为祂的目的被分别出来的。我们或许觉得像一条虫，辛苦挣扎着，但在神的眼里我们就像祂在以弗所2：10所说的：“我们原是祂的工作，在基督耶稣里造成的，为要叫我们行善，就是神预备叫我们行的。”哈利路亚!
父啊，我们感谢袮因为在耶稣基督里袮的应许都是‘是的’和‘阿们’的。
