Dear beloved,
“Rev 3:2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die.”
Sadness truly has filled the air over our nation. We have not even got over with the loss of MH 370 and last week, we had to bury our well-known fighter for justice, Mr. Kapal Singh ,the “Tiger of Jelutong.” We had a Shanghai tourist kidnapped again in Sabah, water rationing, the spiral rising cost of living and many more. These are just some of the many things in the list which will dampen your spirit.
Dear beloved, let us take heed to what the Lord commanded in “Rev 3:2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die.”
Let us strengthen ourselves in the Lord like what David did. After being told to leave, he returned to Ziglag , his base. Instead of getting some encouragement there, what he saw was just smoke. Everything was lost and even his own men wanted to kill him. But, when he strengthen himself in the Lord, his God, he managed to recover all.

(1Sa 30:3 And when David and his men came to the city, they found it burned with fire, and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive.
1Sa 30:4 Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep.
1Sa 30:5 David's two wives also had been taken captive, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel.
1Sa 30:6 And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.)
Dear Lord, in this moment of despair, we strengthen ourselves in You. Praise be the name of our Lord and God. In You , we have the victory. Thank you for restoring the joy of our salvation. In Jesus’ Name . Amen.
