Dear beloved,
Just with the
twinkling of an eye, we are already at the end of the first half of the year.
With so many things to do and limited by ability and time, we are left
wondering whether we have achieved our target. Surely we long to hear our
Lord Jesus Christ commending us, “Well done, good and faithful
servant! You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over
many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
Our God is not a task
master who treats us like slaves, just like the one who had received one talent
in Matthew 25:24-25 'Master, I knew that you were a hard man,
harvesting where you haven't planted and gathering where you haven't scattered
any seed. Being afraid, I went off and hid your talent in the
ground. Here, take what is yours!'
How horrifying it had
been for this servant who had hidden the talent in the ground. The
Master charged him for being evil and slothful. Besides this, what was given to
him was taken away and given to him who had ten talents and finally,
being thrown into outer darkness there would be weeping and gnashing of
teeth.
What then should be
our response? Firstly, I believe we should overcome fear (1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love
casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not
been perfected in love. )
Secondly, do not hide our talents. God has blessed us to be a
blessing.
Father, let Your love
fill us. We want to serve You without fear nor compromise. In Jesus’ Name.

至亲的，
转眼间，今年的上半年即将结束。有了这么多的事情要做，因受能力和时间的约束，我们都在想，我们是否已经达到了我们的目标。当然，我们渴望听到我们的主耶稣基督赞扬我们，“好，你这又良善又忠心的仆人，你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把许多事派你管理；可以进来享受你主人的快乐。”我们的神不是好像那对付奴隶的主人，
就好象那位领取一千银子的仆人在马太福音25：24-25‘主啊，我知道你是忍心的人，没有种的地方要收割，没有散的地方要聚敛，我就害怕，去把你的一千银子埋藏在地里。请看，你的原银子在这里。’
非常可怕的事是当这仆人将那一千银子埋藏在地里。他的主人指控他为是邪恶和懒惰。不止这样，夺过他这一千来，给那有一万的，又把他丢在外面黑暗里；必要哀哭切齿。
那么，什么应该是我们的回应？首先，我认为，我们应该克服惧怕（约翰一书4:18爱里没有惧怕；爱既完全，就把惧怕除去。因为惧怕里含著刑罚，惧怕的人在爱里未得完全）其次，不要隐藏自己的才能。神保佑我们成为一个祝福。
天父，让你的爱充满我们。我们为你事奉而无惧，也不妥协。奉耶稣的名。阿门。
