Dear
beloved,
It
was reported that the rate of death from dengue fever has nearly tripled in
Malaysia compared with the same period in 2013. (More than 43,000 cases were
reported in 2013, with 92 deaths). This disease is carried by the aedes
mosquito. People tend to take this tiny little creature for granted. As such,
they multiply so fast that now it has become a nationwide alert issue.
It
reminds me of Song of Songs 2:15 that says “Catch the foxes for us, the
little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in
blossom." You see, often time it is not the big issue that destroys, but the
harmless little foxes that actually spoil the vineyards.
There
is this true story of a girl who kept a raccoon as a pet. She was warned of its
danger. But she ignored the warning and continued to keep the innocent looking
creature. One day, this raccoon which had by then matured suddenly turned wild
and attacked the girl causing her face to be marred and she had serious bodily
injuries.
Lord,
this is our earnest prayer: Psalm 19:12-13
Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. Keep back
your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. Amen.
