Dear beloved,
I was very challenged by the question put forward by Diana Thomas on our Friday night prayer meeting on 16 July 2010. “What does it take to see Malaysia changed?” Incidentally, we will be celebrating our 53rd Merdeka Day this 31st August 2010. Thank God, Malaysia gained independence without bloodshed. Yet it did not come easy for our forefathers paid a heavy price for it.
As a multi-racial nation, it needs a lot of sacrifices for people of different ethnic groups, languages, religions and cultures to come together for the same cause. Today, we have inherited this freedom from our forefathers. But will our children receive a better Malaysia from us? Our nation is not free from the threats of extremism and evil activities are strongly felt in our neighbouring countries. Recently, some were caught by the authorities in our land.
Dear beloved, let us take the Word of God and our prayer life seriously before it is too late. Like what Apostle Paul said in 1Ti 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 1Ti 2:2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
Dear Lord, as keepers of this nation, we pray that our children will receive a better Malaysia from us when we leave them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

我因黛燕娜多玛斯在7月16日星期五晚的祈祷会所提问的问题深感挑战。“如何能使马来西亚带来改变？”偶然地，我们即将在这8月三十一日里庆祝第53个国庆日。感谢神，马来西亚获得独立是没有经过流血的。然而，对于我们的祖先来讲，却负出了重大的代价。
身为多种族之国，须经过多族人的牺牲，在言语上，宗教上和文化上都达成一致的目的而形成。今日，我们是从祖先那里承续了这自由。但是，我们的后裔未来是否会从我们这里承受一个更好的马来西亚呢？我们的邻国是处在一个非常极端主义和邪恶活动的地方而我国也受到影响。最近，某些人在我国因施及某势力而被扑。
深爱的，让我们认真的及早运用神的话作为生命里每日的祷告以免太迟。好似使徒保罗所说我劝你第一要为人恳求，祷告，代求，祝谢；为君王和一切在位的，也该如此，使我们可以敬虔，端正，平安无事地度日(提摩前2:1,2)
亲爱的主，身为这国的看守者，我们祈求当我们离去时会留下一个好的马来西亚给我们的儿女。奉耶稣的名求，阿们。
