Pastor's October 2010 Message

Dear beloved,

What really provoked me when Pr. Paul Lai shared about “Financial Tsunami That Is Going To Come” was that we as believers should take heed and act wisely. I know some may argue what if it does not happen? Well, as the LORD commended in Luke 16:8 “For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light”.

Let us be wise and seriously take heed to what apostle Paul admonished us in Eph 5:16-17 “making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is”. God has great plans for us. He assures us in
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the purposes which I am purposing for you, says Jehovah; purposes of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”.
Aren’t you glad that God is so mindful of you? He prepares us with timely messages so that we can walk worthy and be fruitful for every good work. Yes, as Daniel 11:32 declares “…but the people that know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”. Hallelujah!

As members of HPA’s family we are purpose driven people. Our theme for this month is “PURPOSE DRIVEN” based on the 6th Biblical Principle of HPA. Let’s stand firm in His WORD and take action. Isaiah 1:19 says “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land”.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing your end time plans and purposes. We humbly ask for wisdom and understanding so that we can walk worthy of the LORD and be fruitful in every good work. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

当赖保罗牧师分享关于‘金融崩溃将来临’的时候，我深深感触到身为信徒的我们应当加多留意并有智慧地有所行动。我相信会有人争辩这件事情会否发生的可能性；但正如主在路加福音十六章八节赞扬道：“不义的管家做事聪明，因为，今世之主，在世事上，较比光明之更加聪明。”
让我们明智和认真地听使徒保罗在以弗所书五章十六十七节给于的劝告，“要爱惜光明，因为现今的世代邪恶。不要做糊涂人，要明白主的旨意如何。”神已为我们预备好的计划/安排。正如耶利米书二十九章十一节所说：“我知道我向你们所怀的意念，是赐平安的意念，不是降災祸的意念，是教你们末后有指望。”
你是否是眷顾你而欢欣？祂以即时的信息预备我们使我们能行走一切善工上并多结果子。是的，赞美主！但以理书十一章三十二节宣告说：“惟独认识神的子民必刚强行事。”
身为高赞教会大家庭的一份子，我们是被‘目标推动’的一群。‘目标推动’是本月底主题，取自本教会第六条圣经原则。一起来吧！站稳在祂话语上并有所行动。以赛亚书一章十九节说：“你们若甘心听从，必吃地上的美物。”
亲爱的天父，感谢袮向我们启示末世的计划。我们谦卑祈求智慧和明白的心使我们行走配得主名及在各善事上多结果子。奉耶稣之名祷告，阿们。

Pastor's September 2010 Message

Dear beloved,

This is the most crucial month of the year. Remember 16 September? We will be celebrating Malaysia Day for the first time. Prior to this, churches were having 40-Day Fast and Prayer. The Muslims, too, had their Ramadan in the same month. Over the years of fasting and praying, we have seen changes in various fields especially in the political arena.

This time , NECF feels that we need to pray for the younger generation to be involved in ministries. As we know, not many like to be in “the full time”. Even parents are not encouraging their children to be in “the full time”. Pray that the children of our day will also be like young Daniel and his three friends, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who caused even the king of Babylon to bow down and worship God.

Dear Lord, let the hearts of our children turn towards You. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

至深爱的，
这个月是今年内一个最决定性的月份。记得在九月十六日是什么日子吗？就是我们庆祝第一个马来西亚日。在庆祝这节日前，教会进入四十日禁食祈祷。至于伊斯兰教徒在同月份也同样进行他们的斋戒月。可见过去那么多次的禁食祈祷，在各领域上带来了不少的改变，尤其是在政治的斗争上。
这次，大马福音联谊会觉得我们须为一般年轻的下一代来祷告，使他们会参与神的事工。我们清楚的知道，今日很少人愿意去“全职事奉神”。甚至作为父母的也不愿意让孩子们作“全职事奉”。我们须为现今的孩子来祷告，使他们会似年轻的但以理和他三个朋友，沙得拉，米煞和亚伯尼歌一样，会令到巴比伦王都要来屈膝敬拜神。
亲爱的，让我们孩子的心转向袮。奉耶稣的名求，阿们。
