Dear beloved,
Many are staying up late these few nights to watch EURO 2012 football. I am not a football fan but something about the games causes me to ponder. The best player is always tightly guarded by his opponents to prevent him from scoring goals. Therefore beloved, do not be surprised when you face a lot of trials in life.
Peter assures us in 1 Peter 1:6 "On that day you will be glad, even if you have to go through many hard trials for a while." 1 Peter 1:7 "Your faith will be like gold that has been tested in a fire. And these trials will prove that your faith is worth much more than gold that can be destroyed. They will show that you will be given praise and honor and glory when Jesus Christ returns."
Hence, our faith is like gold that needs to be purified by fire. Let us band ourselves together as one united team and face every situation that may come in our way knowing very well now that we are in the second half of the year 2012. Paul too admonishes us in 2 Cor 2:14 saying “ thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession”. Hallelujah!
Dear Heavenly Father, unite us as one in Christ. Amen.

亲爱的,
这几个晚上，很多人延迟睡眠时间为要观看二零一二年欧洲足球杯的比赛。我并非一位足球迷但是关于该赛事的一些事物让我有思考的意念。最优秀的球员总是被敌方紧盯着，处处提防他把球踢进龙门。所以，当你生命面对各样患难时，你不要觉得希奇。在彼得前书1：6，彼得向我们保证：“你们是大有喜乐，但如今，在百般的试炼中暂时忧愁，7节 叫你们的信心既被试验，就比那被火试验仍然能坏的金子更显宝贵，可以在耶稣基督显现的时候得着称赞、荣耀、尊贵。”
因此，我们的信心就好像金子，必须被火来炼净。让我们一起组成一个合一的队伍，去面对每一个可能遇到的逆境；因知道我们将要踏入二零一二年的下半年了。保罗亦在哥后2：14勉励我们：“感谢神！常帥领我们在基督里誇胜。”
亲爱天父，联合我们使我们与基督合而为一，阿们。
