Pastor's 2014 October Message

Dear beloved,

This is the hour of awakening to prayer. Even though we have just finished our 40 days of fasting and praying, we should continue to intercede for our nation. Things may not seem to have changed much, yet it is for us to pray just as our Lord Jesus said in Luke 18:1 that “they ought always to pray and not lose heart.”

On 16 September 2014, I was asked to make a prophetic proclamation over the altar we built. The two things that I felt the Lord wanted me to proclaim were:
i. Restoration for the anak negeri.
ii. Jas 5:16 … The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous one avails much.

Yes, doors may seem to be shut and yet the scripture assures us in Luke 11:9 And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.Luk 11:10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

You see, Jas 5:17 reminds us Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on earth. In Jas 5:18, he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.

Dear Lord, help us not to lose heart in prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
