It is one thing to know God and another thing is to be known by Him. I am pretty sure the latter is more important. How scary it will be when we have to appear before Him and He says, ‘ I know you not.’
Mat 7:22-23 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!
Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.
Beloved, don’t take the grace of God for granted. What is right in our eyes may not be right in His eyes.
As Pro 16:25 said “There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death.”
You may now ask what then we should do. Let us take the path laid by Apostle Paul in Rom 12:1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. ”
Dear Heavenly Father, we desired to know You more. Help us to live a life pleasing to You.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
